After being signed to Capitol records for the past 5 years and only just releasing her debut album this year it’s a shock that Sky Ferreira hasn’t been dropped but in that time she’s released 2 EP’s, performed all over Europe and the US and appeared on at least 30 magazine covers all leading up to the release of her first album Night Time, My Timewith it’s 90s grunge influence and topics about adolescent life, love and japan!
Northern lads from Manchester who formed at the age of 12 and met at secondary school to later become The 1975 who gigged all over the UK for the past few years whilst releasing a string of EP’s gaining them a huge fan-base amongst teens resulting in their album debuting at #1. I heard one of their first singles The CIty back in May and have been hooked ever since I’m excited to see them play at brixton academy in january even though I haven’t bought the tickets yet! #OnMyXmasList
Essex born production genius Dev Hynes who has produced hits for the likes of Sky Ferreira and Solange. He’s now back behind his main production alter-ego Blood Orange with second album Cupid Deluxe. The album has elements of nostalgic late 80’s synth beats mixed in with a lot R&B/Soul beats. Check out tracks Uncle ACE, Chosen and Chamakay.
